Wolves in Poetry

Wilder Eyes Than Mine
by Chris Jolliffe

I need to see my way
With wilder eyes than mine.
To search within familiar places
And see the clay beneath the concrete
And the doors within the dreams.

I need to see my way
With wilder eyes than mine;
To search within the confines
And find familiar ways
That I passed by when I had not
Those wilder eyes than mine.

Now I shall look within myself
With wilder eyes than mine
And see within the mirror of my life
Those eyes reflected in my face,
And I shall find my way, my path
When I know as I should
That I see all things now
With wilder eyes than mine.
